On any given night how many commercials do you see where an insurance company is telling you all about saving money when switching to them? Last night I counted (8) in a 1-hour span of watching TV. Some of those companies I even represent here at the agency. However, the truth remains that if you want to save money on your insurance having a great agent is 10x more important than the company you are insured by. Real savings are achieved when an agent can look at your personal or commercial insurance policies and identify areas where you have overlapping coverage, have unnecessary coverage, or qualify for certain discounts. Simply switching your policy from company A to company B may save you a few dollars, but having an agent comb through your policy is always a better alternative.
